穿透素3(Pentraxin3)也称为肿瘤坏死因子诱导基因14(TSG-14),是穿透素超家族成员,具有环状多聚体结构。多种类型的细胞,尤其是单核吞噬细胞、树突细胞、成纤维细胞和内皮细胞,对初次炎症信号(如toll样受体、TNF-α、IL-1β)产生应答后,可快速产生并释放Pentraxin3。Pentraxin3是急性期应答蛋白,其在正常情况下含量较低(在小鼠中约25ng/ml,在人类中小于2ng/ml),而在内毒素性休克、败血症和其它炎症和感染条件下,急剧升高(诱导后6-8小时达到峰值),含量可达200-800ng/ml,与疾病的严重程度相关。在这些情况下,Pentraxin3是先天免疫和炎症反应局部活化的快速判断标志。研究显示Pentraxin3具有双重作用:保护机体抵抗病原体和调控自身免疫。
