检测原理：本试剂盒采用双抗体夹心酶联免疫吸附检测技术。特异性抗人EGFR抗体预包被在高亲和力的酶标板上。酶标板孔中加入标准品、检测样本和辣根过氧化物酶标记的检测抗体，经过孵育，样本中存在的EGFR与固相抗体和检测抗体结合。洗涤后，加入显色底物TMB，避光显色。颜色反应的深浅与样本中EGFR的浓度成正比。加入终止液终止反应，在450 nm波长(参考波长570 - 630 nm)测定吸光度值。

表皮生长因子受体(EGFR)，又名ErbB1和HER1，是一个I型跨膜糖蛋白。它存在于细胞表面，靠与它的特定配体包括EGF和TGF-α结合来激活。EGFR信号在调节细胞增殖、存活和分化过程中起重要作用。EGFR与配体结合后就会诱导其发生同源或异源二聚体化，进而引发后续的酪氨酸自磷酸化和多种下游通路(MAPK、PI3K/PKB和STAT)。该受体激活在人类皮肤的先天性免疫应答中有重要作用，EGFR过表达(上调)或活性过度增加与许多癌症，包括肺癌、肛门癌和多形性胶质母细胞瘤有关。异常的EGFR信号与牛皮癣、湿疹和动脉粥样硬化有关，目前，研究者认为EGFR可作为癌症治疗的一个靶标。
