人生长调节致癌基因β (GRO-β)也称为 CXCL2，是 CXC 蛋白趋化因子家族成员之一。GRO-β 在小鼠中也称为 MIP-2，在大鼠中称为 CINC-3。人 GRO-β由 107 个氨基酸(aa)构成，其分子量约 为 11 kDa。GRO-β是由炎症部位的多种细胞(包括单核细胞和巨噬细胞)分泌，对粒细胞包括中性粒 细胞具有趋化作用。GRO-β在炎症反应和损伤修复过程中起着重要作用。研究逐渐发现 GRO 为一种原癌基因。GRO-β作为表达产物在血管新生、肿瘤形成转移和肿瘤与免疫细胞相互作用中起到关键作用。
