人抑瘤素M(Oncostatin M, OSM)是IL-6家族的一种28 kDa 多效细胞因子,是活化的T淋巴细胞、单核细胞、中性粒细胞和
一些肿瘤细胞(包括乳腺癌上皮细胞)的产物。OSM参与许多发育和免疫过程,能抑制多种肿瘤细胞系的增殖,但也会刺激AIDS-KS细胞的增殖。OSM调节内皮细胞产生的IL-6, G-CSF和GM-CSF等细胞因子。它结合的是I型OSM受体(由LIPR和IL6ST组成的异源二聚体)和II型OSM受体(由OSMR和IL6ST组成的异源二聚体)。此外,OSM参与胎儿肝细胞的成熟,从而促进肝脏的发育和再生。
