基质金属蛋白酶 10 (MMP-10),又名基质溶素-2,在人类中由 MMP10 基因编码。该基因是位 于染色体 11q 22.3 的 MMP 基因簇的一部分,MMP-10 降解蛋白聚糖和纤连蛋白,在各种病理条件 下的细胞外基质降解中起重要作用。MMP-10 在破骨细胞和骨髓内的多数单核细胞中强烈表达,在人角质形成细胞中受细胞因子诱导,同样也在人的头颈癌和肺癌细胞中表达。糖尿病患者角膜上皮中过表达的 MMP-10 可能是 糖尿病性视网膜病变的主要因素。MMP-10 与肿瘤干细胞的活力及转移有关。
